The core idea of this experimental installation is
re-coding the sound message. 

 

It collect sounds, such as a user speaking, and translate it into digital information. Then, the machinery uses a conductive pen to draw a curving line on the paper. At last, the conductive track is translated to music notes and create a piece of "music".

 

In general, the installation translate random noise into music. It discuss alternative carriers of sound information, including noise, movement of a mechanical arm, a curving conductive line and a piece of "music".

 

The project was based on Arduino and Max.
